It was agreed that the decisions of the meeting held on 6 September 2021, as detailed in decision numbers CAB 26 to CAB 39, be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

It was agreed that the Overview and Scrutiny Committee’s recommendation, made at its meeting held on 13 September 2021 (Minute No 51), be approved as follows:

 

That two councillors be appointed to the East Kent Food Poverty Working Group.

It was agreed that the Overview and Scrutiny Committee’s endorsement of Cabinet decision CAB 34, made at its meeting held on 13 September 2021 (Minute No 59), be acknowledged.

MATTERS WHICH THE MANAGEMENT TEAM SUGGESTS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IN PRIVATE AS THE REPORT CONTAINS EXEMPT INFORMATION AS DEFINED WITHIN PART 1 OF SCHEDULE 12A OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 AS INDICATED AND IN RESPECT OF WHICH THE PROPER OFFICER CONSIDERS THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST IN MAINTAINING THE EXEMPTION OUTWEIGHS THE PUBLIC INTEREST IN DISCLOSING THE INFORMATION

Minutes:

That, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2000, the press and the public be excluded during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Market Square, Dover

To consider the report of the Strategic Director (Operations and Commercial).

 

Responsibility: Portfolio Holder for Community and Corporate Property

Minutes:

It was agreed that the award of the contract to F M Conway for the consideration set out in the report be approved, noting that the external project costs would be funded by the Coastal Community Fund grant (£2.44 million), Dover District Council (£500,000) and a further £700,000 from the Council’s Town Centre Regeneration Fund.

 

47.

Approval to Enter into Design and Build Contract for Development of Interim Housing at Poulton Close, Dover

To consider the attached report of Head of Finance and Investment.

 

Responsibility: Portfolio Holder for Social Housing and Port Health

Minutes:

It was agreed:

 

(a)  That progress on the delivery of 24 new interim properties at Poulton Close, Dover be noted.

 

(b)  That revised budgets for the three interim housing schemes be approved.
