Pay Award 2020 To consider the report of the Head of Paid Service (to follow). Minutes: The Head of Governance presented the report on the Pay Award 2020.
Councillor K Mills asked that for the 2021 pay award officers look into how the green agenda could be promoted through the car and fuel allowances (e.g. electric vehicle, car sharing and cycling incentives) and a review be undertaken on the erosion of the lower grade differential.
Councillor P D Jull asked that the difference between the Member (40 pence per mile) and officer (45 pence per mile) mileage schemes be looked at.
RESOLVED: That the pay award of 2.5% on the base salary of all staff from 1 April 2020 be approved and that the car and fuel allowances for affected staff be increased by the same amount. |
