Arrangements for Council Meetings
Can the public attend Council, Cabinet and Committee meetings?
Yes, where they are open to the public. However, we only have a limited amount of public seating available. When we have filled this (on a first come, first served basis) for each meeting we will not be able to admit anyone else unless others leaving creates the opportunity to do so. Entry to all meetings is via the Council Chamber main doors and doors will be opened 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
Is there another way I can watch a council meeting?
Yes. The Council had agreed to live broadcast on our website the following meetings: Planning Committee, Cabinet, Council, Overview and Scrutiny Committee, Governance Committee and General Purposes Committee. A link to view these meetings live can be found on the web page for the agenda a couple of days prior to the meeting.
Can I watch a meeting after it has been broadcast?
No. The Council does not make recordings of any of its broadcast meetings.
