Licensing Act 2003 - Application for the Variation of a Premises Licence in respect of: Marley Brooks Weddings, Marley Brooks, Stourmouth Road, Preston

The Sub-Committee is requested to determine the application.

 

Applicant:   Kris Saxby and Janie Saxby

The procedure to be followed by the Sub-Committee is attached to this agenda.

Minutes:

The Sub-Committee considered an application from Mr K Saxby and Mrs J Saxby in respect of Marley Brooks Weddings, Marley Brooks, Stourmouth Road, Preston, CT3 1HP. The application was for the variation of the existing premises licence to remove a condition which read:

 

‘Events will be limited to 28 per year.’

 

On the basis of the representations of the applicant and his representative, and other persons, the Sub-Committee found the following facts to be established:

 

(i)           That following negotiation, agreement had been reached with both other parties and the applicant to limit the number of events to 40 per year.

 

In reaching its finding, the Sub-Committee took into account the following:

 

(i)           The Dover District Council Licensing Policy.

(ii)         The Licensing Act 2003 and the guidance given under Section 182 of the Act.

 

RESOLVED:   That the application for a variation to the existing premises licence for Marley Brooks Weddings, Marley Brooks, Stourmouth Road, Preston, CT3 1HP be determined as follows:

 

(i)           To amend the current condition so as to read ‘Events shall be limited to 40 per calendar year’.
