Martin Bates - Other Significant Interest - Councillor M Bates declared an Other Significant Interest in Agenda Item 6 (Application No DOV/21/01736 – Land at West View, Chapel Hill, Eythorne) by reason that he was closely associated with the applicant and a member of the public who was speaking against the application.

David Beaney - Other Significant Interest - Councillor D G Beaney declared an Other Significant Interest in Agenda Item 7 (Application No DOV/20/01538 – Stalisfield Lodge, Park Road, Temple Ewell) by reason that he had carried out work for the applicant on several occasions and was likely to do so again in the future.

Sue Chandler - Voluntary Announcement of Other Interest - Councillor S S Chandler made a Voluntary Announcement of Other Interests in Agenda Item 5 (Application No DOV/21/01926 – Upper Goldstone Farm, Cop Street Road, Ash) by reason that her son was a director of the company acting as agent for the application. She advised that she would not participate in the debate or the vote on this application.

David Beaney - Other Significant Interest - Councillor D G Beaney made a declaration of Other Significant Interests in relation to Agenda Item 8 (Application No DOV/21/00967 – Land south of Ferne Lane and east of Warren Lane, Alkham) by reason that the applicant was a family member. He advised that he had registered to speak in support of the application and would leave the meeting once he had spoken.

Peter Jull - Voluntary Announcement of Other Interest - Councillor P D Jull made a Voluntary Announcement of Other Interests in relation to Agenda Item 5 (Application No DOV/21/01564 – The Old Rectory, Mongeham Church Close, Great Mongeham) by reason that he, like the applicant, was a member of Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade. He also stated that he knew some of the objectors. However, he was of the view that none of these persons was an ‘Associated Person’ for the purposes of the Kent Model Code of Conduct.

David Beaney - Bias and Predetermination - Councillor D G Beaney commented that he had visited residents in relation to Agenda Item No 6 (Application No DOV/22/00262 – Forest School Activities and Education Centre, Woodpecker Court, 45 Wigmore Lane, Eythorne) in his capacity as a Kent County Council Councillor. In response to advice given by the Planning Solicitor, he confirmed that he had not predetermined the application and remained open-minded.

He also stated that he had previously made comments in objection to the proposal and therefore considered that he had predetermined the application.
